From drawing board to built form.
Structural execution, civil work and finishing carried out against the drawing set, with the design team present through the build.
Overview
Construction
Construction is where the design is either kept or lost. We run the build against the same drawings we produced — setting out, structure, civil work and finishing — with supervision on site so that detail decisions are resolved against the design intent.
Pre-Construction
Setting out before the first pour.
Levels, setting out, sequencing and material scheduling are established from the drawings so that the sequence of work is agreed before it begins.
Structural Execution
Frame, reinforcement and slab.
Foundations, columns, beams and slabs executed to the structural drawings, with reinforcement and formwork checked before each pour.
Civil Work
Masonry, plaster and services routing.
Brickwork, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing and the routing of services are coordinated so that later finishing work is not chasing earlier decisions.
Finishing
Where the tolerances get tight.
Flooring, joinery, painting, fixtures and fittings — the stage where the difference between adequate and well-built becomes visible.
Site Coordination
One team across design and build.
Because the design and build sit under one studio, questions raised on site are answered against the drawings rather than negotiated between separate parties.
